Staouéli is a municipality located in Zéralda district on a Presque-isle, which is a geographical term denoting a piece of land which is closer to being an island than most peninsulas because of its being joined to the mainland by an extremely narrow neck of land. Staouéli is on the Mediterranean Sea and hosts the resort town of Sidi Ferruch which is popular among tourists.
The newest holiday and business destination is the Sheraton Club des Pins Resort and Towers. This is the first five-star resort in the country situated in the secured Club des Pins area. The resort caters for up to 700 guests and offers unique dining experiences with a few restaurants and bars in the hotel where you can dine while overlooking the bay. If you are not in Staouéli for a vacation, the 700-seat auditorium can accommodate large meetings and seminars and tours of the city can be arranged for delegates. Being the only beachfront hotel in Algiers and private beach of Club des Pins is popular and there are always a few people who are taking a dip in the waves of the warm Mediterranean Sea or strolling in the gardens of this resort.
The Grand Prix circuit located in Staouéli is not popular anymore as the 7.2km circuit is no longer operational after being used for the Grand Prix d'Alger from 1928 to 1930. You can visit the track and go around in circles alone or visit another of the town’s landmarks.
